Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

So we already know how the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the other two S22 variants are supposed to look. We’ve seen the unofficial renders, dummy units, CAD renders, and much more. But all of these were unofficial which means they are not absolutely 100% accurate. But that changes today as we have got the official poster for the Galaxy S22 Ultra by Samsung themselves that answers a lot
of questions we have about the handset. The poster is obtained by LetsGoDigital and shows the S22 Ultra as well as the S22+. Interestingly, it shows the S22 Ultra in a new rose gold color variant. It looks a little different than the Note 20 Ultra’s mystic bronze.
Rumors suggested 4 colors for the Ultra black, white, green, and red but surprisingly this is neither of those which could only mean there will be a total of 5 colors in the S22 Ultra lineup. Also, the color of the S Pen is black with a rose gold button at the back to match the phone. To be honest, this is absolutely the prettiest Samsung phone we’ve ever seen even besting last year’s Note 20 Ultra. This also confirms the naming scheme, it’s going to be Galaxy S22 Ultra instead of the S22 Note as suggested by this tipster. The S22+ looks more or less the same as its predecessor but as you can see, it’s much more flatter this time which honestly looks premium.
Can’t tell whether or not the back is glossy or matte for the S22+ but it’s almost certain that it will feature a glass back along with its little brother the S22. Next, a few weeks ago we saw that the S22 Ultra will feature the brightest display ever at around 1800 nits. The S21 Ultra has 1500 nits of peak brightness while it’s 1200 on the iPhone 13 Pro max. Now we have a new report from Sammobile which confirms that not only this rumor is true but also that the S22+ will also feature the brightest display on the market. Both the S22 Ultra and the S22+ will feature 1750 nits of peak brightness way more than the competition. For context, the S21+ has 1300 nits of peak brightness. Moving on, the Galaxy S22 lineup will feature the
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset which we’ve recently seen that has a beast of a graphics chipset. I mean it’s the first time in many years that this chip has beaten Apple’s latest A-series chipset in
graphics. It’s not a leak or a rumor, the 8 Gen 1 SoC is already official and benchmarks confirm this thing. But many of you were wondering if this whole dramatic increase in performance would lead to more heat. I mean Snapdragon chipsets are known to have overheating issues. The Snapdragon 888 is a prime example of that. So will we see the same issue with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on the S22 Ultra? Well, apparently we’ll not. Ice Universe mentions that the S22 Ultra holds really well under sustained load. While playing Genshin Impact which is one of the most graphically demanding games for mobile devices, the S22 Ultra didn’t seem to thermal
throttle unlike the S21 Ultra, which sent an overheating notification after some time. This is probably due to Samsung using a better cooling system on the S22 handsets. If you remember, Samsung is reportedly using vapor chamber cooling this time instead of
graphite cooling on the S21 lineup. And it seems that is clearly working in their favor. Now, some of you might wonder what about Exynos 2200? Well, Samsung today has released a kind
of a teaser video for it which indicates that the chipset will be focused on gaming. Samsung said and I quote, we’re preparing another small gift for fans who love gaming. Early next year,
fans can look forward to unwrapping another small but powerful gift from Exynos. It will be interesting to see what this Samsung and AMD duo would bring to the table. Of course, do consider subscribing for all the latest S22 updates .
