CES 2022

CES 2022 Keynote Guide Nvidia, Intel and AMD So 2021 is coming to close and that means CES 2022 starts in less than a week from now. I can’t wait to see what Intel, Nvidia and AMD have in store for us! Let’s take a look at when the important presentations will happen and what might be revealed. Nvidia will hold their special address on Tuesday January 4th at 8am PT. It will be live streamed right here on YouTube, on the official Nvidia channel, so be sure to tune in. In their invitation they write the following; “Join us for this virtual event to see the latest breakthroughs in accelerated computing, from design and simulation to gaming and autonomous vehicles.” Of course rumors have been flying high, there’s a good chance we will get a announcement for new Ampere-based graphics cards like the RTX
3070 Ti 16GB and a new RTX 3090 Ti. We still don’t know the exact specs, I talked about rumors in the past and not everything made sense. I’m definitely curious what Nvidia will show us! Intel is holding their media days press conference also on Tuesday January 4th, this time between 10 and 10:45 a.m. It’s a media only event but will be streamed on their web app. There’s a lot of cool stuff Intel could announce, Alder Lake mobile CPUs, non-K desktop CPUs like the i5-12400 or the new B660 chipset lineup and then of course we might get more info on Intel’s upcoming ARC Alchemist GPUs, which are supposed to launch in the quarter one of 2022. It’s hard to guess what Intel will show us exactly but there are definitely more than enough options, we will have to wait and see. Last, but certainly not least, is AMD. Lisa Su will present AMD’s 2022 “Product Premiere” – you guessed it – on Tuesday January 4th at 10 a.m. eastern time. As usual we get the live stream here on YouTube on the official AMD channel. AMD writes the following: “During the live stream hosted by Dr. Lisa Su, AMD will demonstrate how we will make 2022 an unforgettable year for gamers, creators and mobile PC users”. In combination with the title “product premiere” you can be certain they will show us some shiny new hardware. There are plenty of possibilities for AMD, a RDNA2 based mobile refresh in 6nm, of course the highly anticipated Zen3D, news on next-gen Threadripper and possible Rembrandt based mobile APUs with DDR5 support. 2022 is going to be an exciting year for AMD and they surely will start it off with a bang! I can’t wait to see what Lisa has in store for us. January 4th will definitely be an exciting day for hardware, be sure to mark it in your calendar! If you don’t have the time to watch all the live streams, I will have a video on all the CES info you need, where we will go through the important announcements from Nvidia, Intel and AMD. Personally, I’m most excited about possible news on Intel’s ARC GPUs and then of course there’s Zen3D. Tell me what you are most excited about for CES 2022.
